At Target on their clearance items: if the sale price ends in a 4 then you know that is the lowest they will go on that item. Don't wait if you want it, it will not go down any more.
At Sam's if you see a price ending in 1 then that item is being discontiued, seasonal item or another reason, and it is marked down. That may or may not be the lowest price though. I just stroll the isles and look for a 1 on the price. Sometimes I run into some really great deals. Today I got Turkey Tenderloin Mignon wrapped in Applewood Smoked Bacon, 6 - 7oz portions for $4.61. Can't wait to try and sadly the only box left.

What is TampaBay Transactions
TampaBay Transactions is a new blog that will help you save money and time. There are hundreds of blogs out there, many about saving money but I couldn't find a single one specific to TampaBay. This is a problem because our region is unlike most others in the country, we don't get double coupons and some of the deals that they have elsewhere. Even our store pricing is different as well as our coupons published in the papers, so trying to use an established coupon database yields frustrating results because the coupons are not the same or in the same denomination, not to mention the absence of special local coupons that are published in the coupon inserts. Some of the stores aren't even the same: The local Albertsons are not the same as in most other parts of the US, the few remaining Albertsons are actually Albertsons, LLC, doing business as Albertsons Market. The deals assembled by other bloggers often do not translate to Florida for whatever reason, wasting our time and frustrating the would be bargain hunter. Publix while headquartered here does not have the same policies or sales that they have in other states, at times the valued coupon booklets are not even offered here, they have double coupons in other states, as well as a penny item each week, none of which is offered here. Feeling my own aggravation as my would be deals do not work out week after week, I guessed that there may be others feeling the same way. Hence my entry into the blogosphere.
